An experimental dance film created in collaboration with Divya Kasturi Company, with support from Studio Wayne McGregor.

This is research and development project.

​

A(part) from within explores the space between the honoured traditions of Bharatanatyam dance culture and the development of new screendance practices, finding ways to express the foundations of South Asian dance in exciting contemporary forms.

In the still darkness of the night, words have died down. Everybody has sunk into sweet sleep with no worry, the whole wide world sleeps. I certainly am the only one who is unable to sleep!
